love for music. that's how it all started. two friends swapping tunes - 'oh you got to hear this man, it is super dope!'. mixes get passed to each other. you discover a new favorite artist + you got some sweet tunes to listen to whilst doing what you do. music is an addiction. a good one. and to help feed that we wanted to promote the music that we love. naturalselectioNZ, born as a night in a small auckland lounge bar aimed at introducing the atmospheric and the ultra soothing liquid sounds of drum and bass. the summer sun reincarnated naturalselectioNZ as a weekly saturday afternooner at Rakinos. the music was still the same with downbeat added to the platter. naturalselectioNZ then reared it's head in the land of the rising sun. the average night started on a dub tip moving into downbeat, on to hip hop, to house then to drum and bass then slowed back down to downtempo. musical diversity was supreme. multi-genre nights with a focus on smooth tunes. musical music. that is what it is all about really. and now we want to get that music to you via ways outside of nightcubs or lounge bars. enter naturalselectioNZ.com. a site where you can listen to mixes put together by a variety of people be them djs, musicians or just good old passionate sound junkies. and to help spread the music, and support the artists all mixes will be tracklisted with links to the labels, artist sites, and places where you can buy the music you hear. hope you enjoy.
